For clinics in Korea, do you usually just walk in or do you always book first now?

Still figuring out the healthcare rhythm here. Back home I’d assume I need an appointment for everything, but people keep telling me a lot of clinics in Korea are basically walk-in unless it’s something major. If you’ve gone recently for ENT, internal medicine, or dermatology, did you just show up? Also curious how much Korean you needed at the average neighborhood clinic.

For neighborhood ENT or internal medicine, I still mostly just walk in unless it is Saturday morning or a clinic that is popular with English-speaking patients. In Korea the practical move is checking Naver Map right before leaving, because the recent Korean reviews often tell you more about same-day wait time than the clinic homepage does. If you are nervous about language, having one sentence typed out with your symptoms helps a lot more than trying to explain everything at the desk.
