What actually got easier for you once your ARC number finally linked everywhere?

I feel like this is one of those Korea setup things nobody explains clearly until you're already stuck in it. I'm trying to figure out which parts of daily life really changed for people after the ARC number started working properly across phone, bank, delivery, verification apps, etc. If you had to survive the awkward in-between stage first, what was blocked for you and what suddenly started working after the linkage finally went through?

I keep hearing that the immigration part can be finished and then some other system still acts like your old info is the truth. If you changed visa status, renewed your ARC, or updated personal details in Korea, what failed first in real life? Banking app, phone verification, insurance, deliveries, online login, something else?

I keep hearing some version of the same story where the visa side is technically finished, but one bank app, payment app, or phone account still thinks your info does not match. I keep hearing versions of the same story where the visa renewal is technically done, but one random app, bank, or phone account still thinks your info does not match. Did anything change with your Korean bank account or phone number when your visa was close to expiring?

I am not even talking about full account closure. More the annoying middle zone where transfers get limited, apps stop behaving normally, or a carrier suddenly wants updated documents right when you are already dealing with renewal. If this happened to you in Korea, what changed first and which bank or carrier was it?

I feel like the official answer is always just "wait a bit," but real life does not pause while your ARC is in limbo. Phone plans, banking, online verification, even basic signups can get weird fast. I feel like a lot of people hit the same wall in Korea where your phone is active, your ARC exists, your bank account exists, but one app or website still acts like you are not a real person. If you dealt with that weird mismatch, what was the actual fix in the end? Carrier store, bank visit, name spacing issue, passport update, something else?

Every guide makes it sound simple until you open the site and start guessing which category is the least wrong one. If you had to book an appointment or update something on your visa in Korea, what part tripped you up the first time? Wrong office, no slots, weird status message, address update, passport update, anything like that. I feel like the small mistakes are what actually help the next person most.
